Bowling Green Falcons (+2.5) vs South Alabama Jaguars (-2.5)
Congrats to the South Alabama who landed in a bowl game with their exact same color combination located in their home state. Not saying there is a conspiracy afoot but suffice it to say, I wouldn’t be surprised if this isn’t a home-field advantage for the Jaguars. Also, congrats on the Camellia Bowl being brought back from the graveyard after not existing for the past 30+ years when it was last played in 1980 in Sacramento, California. Why it’s in Montgomery, Alabama and not Sacramento, California I have no idea.
I’m going to pick South Alabama against the spread and here is why. 1) Bowling Green’s colors only work in their favor before Halloween. 2) It’s South Alabama’s first ever bowl game and as we all know, everyones’ first time goes very smoothly and very exciting. At least that is what I’m told is going to happen my first time. 3) I guarantee this will be the biggest gap in fan bases at the bowl game next to the Foster Farms Bowl where Stanford gets to play at home basically and Maryland has to cross the entire country to play them. 4) I like their logo because it reminds me of America.
Pick: South Alabama Jaguars (-2.5)
